Those tentacle thingys hanging from the ceiling are Japan's version of an extension cord. I guess, instead of having electrical outlets running through the ground, theirs run through the ceiling, or something. haha.
I thought it was totally bizarre at first too -- it was the first thing i noticed when i walked in, well, after the mess on everyone's desk that is.
I guess I don't notice them anymore, it's kinda cool....but yea...strange. haha.
no, wait, not "strange", "different".
