Sunday's Outing

So...Yesterday, Jesse, two of his friends, and I were supposed to go to a baseball game at 2pm, but apparently the 20,000 person arena was sold out - i always forget that baseball is probably more popular here than in the states...so we went all the way to the stadium (at the end of the subway line), and then turned back.

considering our options, we decided to check out the Chocolate Factory, just outside town. Before going there, we had "The Buffet" at the station for lunch - i wasn't much up for a buffet, as I'm trying to cut down what I eat again...and, I've been there 3 times in the past 2 months, but one of Jesse's friends really insisted - so not a big deal. It's a delicious buffet...but the menu never changes....so maybe, we could at least try a different buffet next time. it's about $17 for a ton of really good food and desserts. very well worth the money if you're starving.

so after lunch, we go to the Chocolate Factory and it was the lamest factory i've ever been to. There was no chocolate. just vanilla wafer like biscuit cookies.
wtf
i guess they had some nice gardens in the courtyard...but it was pretty lame. and a big letdown, cuz really, the only reason i took the tour was to get a free chocolate at the end - even though, granted, yes, you could always just cut to the exit and BUY a piece of chocolate that would be cheaper than the tour admission price. but it's the principle of being able to receive a FREE piece of chocolate.
anyway, the place should be ashamed to call itself a chocolate factory.
haha, they also had rooms and rooms and rooms of "hot chocolate cups" from around the world from the 1800s. though if you ask me, they were probably tea cups from england from 10 years ago.

Sapporo's chocolate factory needs to visit Hersheys, Penn. Now, THERE'S a chocolate factory and amusement park worth the admission. :P

so that was the day.
o then we grabbed sushi at the kaiten place near our apartments - best spin table sushi there is!! and cheap too.
then we went to summer's to watch "W". The movie was ok. but i think it had pacing issues. and it couldn't discern itself as to whether it wanted to be a caricature of Bush's life, or an autobiography. It was O-K. Although, C.Rice's character was ABSURDLY ANNOYING - she was a worse caricature than an SNL skit by Britney Spears. OMG I wanted to shoot her. If anything, she was the sole reason that made this movie unsuccessful. though stone did get it right with josh brolin - he was pretty good. ha.

aight, that's my update. :)
